The Expo Center of Taylor County would like to express our appreciation to all our supporters by inviting you to participate in the Paving the Way Campaign.
The history of the Expo Center and the West Texas Fair & Rodeo dates back to 1888. Citizens of Abilene have supported the Expo Center throughout her history.
The purpose of this letter is to ask you to participate in laying the ground work for the next 100 years. In 2016 Taylor County residents recognized a golden opportunity and voted YES to the Grow Expo expansion. This included a new Multi-Purpose Arena, Midway and Livestock Barn, in addition to the renovations to the Coliseum and the Covered Outdoor Arena.
We are currently in Phase 2 of 3 of construction and are excited to announce the Multi-Purpose Arena is slated for completion in April of 2020. The Multi-Purpose Arena will be the home to premiere equestrian events ranging from Texas High School Rodeo, Western Heritage Classic, West Texas Fair & Rodeo, Livestock Shows, and many other regional and national events.
You can leave a permanent record of your support by purchasing sponsor/memorabilia bricks, benches, and plaques to be displayed at the Multi-Purpose Arena and throughout the Expo Center facilities. Please consider a donation of $100 - $5,000 with the overall goal of raising $1 million dollars to help the Expo Center reach its full potential.
Your participation is vital in helping us continue to maintain our reputation as the #1 facility in West Texas. Please see below for opportunitites.
We look forward to your favorable response.
